What is the maximum load capacity of a Mighty Cart?
It depends on the model. The Garden Carts (140L, 170L, and 280L) all handle up to 362kg overall load (181kg dumping load) — loads must be evenly distributed across the tray. The Steel Utility Cart 450kg handles up to 453kg (1,000 lbs), the 360kg model handles 360kg, and the Folding Beach Carts are rated for 80kg.
Can Mighty Carts handle rough terrain?
Yes. The garden carts and steel utility carts have pneumatic all-terrain tyres (4.10/3.50-4 size) with aggressive knobby tread designed for grass, gravel, dirt, and uneven ground. The Big Wheel Agri Barrow has 20-inch flat-free wheels that handle mud, paddocks, and rocky ground without puncturing. The Folding Beach Cart has wide 10cm PVC wheels with 360-degree rotation, designed for sand. None are rated for highway use — maximum 5 mph.
Do Mighty Carts come assembled?
No — all Mighty Carts require assembly. Garden carts and utility carts are bolt-together: attach the tub to the steel frame, mount wheels, and connect the handle. Assembly takes 15-30 minutes with basic tools. The Agri Barrow involves attaching the axle, wheels, and base to the tub body with 6 self-tapping screws. Instructions are included with every cart.
What's the difference between a garden cart and a utility cart?
Garden carts have a moulded plastic tub on a steel frame with a patented quick-release dumping mechanism — fill them up and tip to empty. They come in 140L, 170L, and 280L sizes. Steel utility carts have an all-metal mesh bed with removable side panels that convert to a flatbed without tools — designed for heavier, bulkier loads like timber, pavers, or appliances. Both types have a 2-in-1 handle that works as a pull handle or ATV/ride-on hitch.
Which Mighty Cart is best for the beach?
The Folding Beach Cart is purpose-built for sand — wide 10cm PVC wheels with 360-degree rotation that won't sink, 135L/80kg capacity, and folds to 83.5cm x 36cm x 26cm for easy car boot storage. The fabric is removable 600D polyester with a 4mm folding PVC floor, and the handle adjusts from 52cm to 82cm. The Safari Beach Cart adds a removable awning for shade.
Will a Mighty Cart rust?
The steel frames and utility cart beds are powder-coated for weather resistance. Garden cart tubs are moulded plastic — rust-free and easy to hose clean. The Agri Barrow tub is seamless one-piece polypropylene. Beach cart frames are powder-coated steel with zinc-galvanised fittings. We recommend hosing off after beach use to remove salt residue.
What tire pressure do Mighty Carts need?
All Mighty Carts with pneumatic tyres (garden carts and steel utility carts) have a maximum tyre pressure of 30 PSI (2.07 BAR) — do not exceed this. Check before each use and keep tyres properly inflated for easiest rolling. The Big Wheel Agri Barrow has flat-free solid wheels that need no inflation. Beach cart wheels are solid PVC — no inflation needed.
Can I tow a Mighty Cart behind a ride-on mower or ATV?
Yes — the garden carts and steel utility carts have a patented 2-in-1 convertible handle that doubles as a hitch for ride-on mowers and ATVs. The 280L Garden Cart has a bolt-through hitch hole rather than a standard tow ball. Maximum speed when towing is 5 mph. The beach carts and Agri Barrow are hand-pull only.
Can I get replacement parts for my Mighty Cart?

What warranty do Mighty Carts come with?
Most Mighty Carts come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty covering defects under normal domestic use. The Big Wheel Agri Barrow has a 3 year warranty. Warranty claims are handled directly by Trade Tested.
How is a Mighty Cart delivered?
Mighty Carts are delivered NZ-wide by courier in a single carton. Weights range from 13kg (Beach Cart) to 43.6kg (280L Garden Cart). The 280L carton is 128.5cm x 86.1cm x 33cm — check it will fit through your gate or side access.
What's the Big Wheel Agri Barrow for?
The Agri Barrow is a professional-grade wheelbarrow upgrade for farm and lifestyle block use — 210L (7.5 cubic feet) seamless polypropylene tub with two 20-inch flat-free wheels that can't puncture. At 20.6kg it's lighter than the garden carts despite its size. Great for moving feed, compost, firewood, or hay bales across rough paddock terrain. Assembly requires attaching the axle, wheels, and base with 6 screws.
Are there any safety rules I should know?
Never transport passengers in any Mighty Cart — they are not designed for people. Do not exceed the maximum load or speed (5 mph). Always distribute loads evenly across the tray surface and never load items on the top edges of panels. Inspect your cart before each use and replace any damaged or broken parts before using. Keep children supervised around carts at all times.
